Our clients represents the entire range of E&P companies on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. Services related to business development are mainly strategy for growth, either organic through license rounds or inorganic through mergers and acquisitions.
Melberg Partners have a very good insight into assets and players on the NSC and are uniquely placed to assist clients in their work to establish and execute a strategy for growth in Norway. We have the knowledge and network needed to design a strategy that aligns to corporate objectives.
We also have experience from successfully leading pre-qualification applications for new companies entering the NCS.
Few or no other advisor has the level of experience that Melberg Partners have when it comes to evaluating opportunities and completing transactions on the NCS. We have participated in more than 350 evaluations and have completed more than 50 transactions representing a value of some 15 billion USD on behalf of our clients.
In licence rounds, whether they are Awards in Predefined Areas (APA - annual) or ordinary licencing rounds (bi-annually), we assist clients in evaluating the potential resources seen in prospects. This includes estimation of Minimum Economic Field Size (MEFS) and options for developing a potential discovery (standalone, tie-back options etc.). We also assist in the negotiation of Areas for Mutual Interest agreements (AMIs).
